Privacy Policy

This policy covers the WAIVR mobile app (iOS and Android) and the waivr.ai website, operated by waivr.ai. Contact: support@tm.waivr.ai.

The short version

What the app collects

Account data (stored on our servers)

Data that stays on your phone

Requests our servers see

Music control

If you connect Spotify or Apple Music, WAIVR only sends playback commands (play, pause, skip) to the music app on your phone. Your music account, listening history and audio never pass through WAIVR or our servers.

What the website collects

Where data is stored

Our servers run on Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Ireland, eu-west-1). Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in codes and account emails are delivered through AWS services.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account from inside the app, or by emailing support@tm.waivr.ai from your account's email address — see how to delete your account. Deletion removes your account data and synced rides from our servers. Data on your phone is removed by uninstalling the app.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@tm.waivr.ai.

Legal bases

We process account data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of contract), visit statistics and service security out of legitimate interest, and waitlist/newsletter emails on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Children

WAIVR is not directed at children and is intended for users of legal riding age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

What we never do

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with an updated date. Material changes are announced in the app.
