These terms apply to the WAIVR mobile app (iOS and Android) and the waivr.ai website, operated by waivr.ai. By using the app or the site, you agree to them. Contact: support@tm.waivr.ai.

What WAIVR is

WAIVR is a navigation and riding app for motorcyclists: offline maps, turn-by-turn guidance, road alerts, ride recording and riding statistics, and social features such as crews.

Ride safely — this comes first

• WAIVR is a navigation aid, not a co-pilot. You are always responsible for riding safely and for your own decisions on the road.
• Obey the law. Traffic rules, speed limits, signs and road conditions always take precedence over anything the app displays or says.
• Do not interact with the screen while riding. Set up your route before you leave. Use voice and audio cues on the road.
• Information can be wrong or outdated. Routes, speed limits, road alerts and map data come from public data sources and are provided without any guarantee of accuracy or completeness.
• Road alert features are subject to local law. In some countries, warning about speed-control locations is restricted or illegal. Features may be limited or disabled depending on your region, and it is your responsibility to comply with the law of the country you ride in.

Your account

• You sign in with your email address. Keep access to it secure; anyone with your sign-in codes can access your account.
• Your username is public. Choose a username and rider name that do not impersonate others or infringe anyone's rights.
• You must be of legal riding age in your country to use WAIVR while riding.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use WAIVR to break the law, including traffic law;
• abuse, harass or deceive other riders through social features;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or its data;
• access other riders' data without their consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

Rides you record, vehicles you add and crews you create remain yours. You grant us the license needed to store and display them to you and to the riders you share them with (for example, your crew), and for nothing else.

Third-party data and services

• Map, routing and road data are derived from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
• Weather data comes from MET Norway.
• Music control integrates with Spotify and Apple Music under their own terms; WAIVR only sends playback commands.

No warranty

WAIVR is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app is error-free, that data is accurate, or that the service is uninterrupted — including offline features, which depend on the data downloaded to your device.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, waivr.ai is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for damage resulting from riding decisions, route choices, missed or incorrect alerts, or reliance on any information the app provides. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to the service and these terms

The app and its features evolve; features may be added, changed or removed. If these terms change materially, the new version is published here with an updated date, and continued use of the service means acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
