Voice, on-device

A neural voice that guides you, and a mic that understands you. All processed on your phone.

Voice is the only interface that works at 130 km/h. WAIVR treats it that way.

The voice that guides you

Turn-by-turn instructions, radar warnings and award announcements are spoken by a neural voice generated on your phone: no cloud voice API, no signal needed, no robotic beeping. It speaks your language.

It ducks your music when it speaks and gets out of the way when it doesn’t.

The mic that listens

Tap the mic, say where you want to go. Speech recognition runs on the device: your voice is processed on the phone and never uploaded anywhere. Search by voice with gloves on, get the result read back, ride.

Why on-device matters

  • Privacy: audio never leaves the phone. Not to us, not to anyone.
  • Reliability: the voice works in the same dead zones the rest of the app does.
  • Latency: no round trip to a server between a corner and its warning.

Music, under control

Spotify and Apple Music ride along: a player on the ride screen controls your music app directly. WAIVR only sends the commands; your music, your account and your audio stay in your music app.
