What offline actually means here

Most apps say “offline maps” and mean a cached picture you can look at. WAIVR means the whole system:

Maps render from data installed on the device, down to the smallest road.
Turn-by-turn guidance runs entirely locally, including recalculation. Miss a turn in a dead zone and you get a new route, not a spinner.
Search works offline: addresses, places, points of interest for every country you’ve installed.
Radar and road alerts come from a database on the phone, not a server call.
Voice guidance is a neural voice that speaks on-device.

Pick a country, download it once on Wi-Fi, ride it forever. Updates come as new versions of the bundle, and the transfers are compressed so a whole country costs less data than a short video.
